Barby's poems
Do you know any poems of Barby? Perhaps you can put them here.
..........................................................................................

About Ireland
Green hills and deep valleys
Big cities and little towns
Wild Irish sea and Atlantic Ocean
A house in the East Ferry
Watching the waves and the ships
Going to Marlook Inn
Having a guiness, having fun
Singing, dancing, talking, just feeling free
Sailing on the ocean
Go shopping in Cork
On weekend go to Dublin
Galway or the south east coast
Watching the waves and the cliffs
Listen to musicians in Doolin
Seeing the dolphin in the Dingle Bay
On a Sunday coming home
To a house on the East Ferry
It’s my island in the ocean
My home until I die in my dreams

I really like this poem. Its a very happy one, compared to the mostly sad onces I have read of her.

RE: Barby's poems
During the years I 'collected' the poems I found of her on the internet. So I don't remember from where/which site this one came. And obviously it is not a 100% guarentee that they are really hers. Here is another one (unfortunately a sad one):

I go
I go through the streets without goal
They are illuminated clear,
After all around me it’s dark
Tears run over the face
Tears those I cry because of you,
After all you don’t see them
You have strike me deep, deep in the heart
After all you don’t notice
I love you,
After all you don’t feel it
You pass me by and don’t see my tears
Exact how the people on the streets, that I meet

RE: Barby's poems
I didn't know the poem about Ireland, but I really like it. With every word, it brought me back to Ireland, wich has been my home, too. I lived near Cork and went there on weekends for shopping etc. And sometimes going to Dublin or Galway, walking on the costline. It makes me HOMESICK!!!!!!!!!!! Iwanna go back there right now.

But are you sure Barby made it? I don't think, the second one was made by her anyway. It's a bad English, and I think, Barby would have said it differently.

I LOVE this one. I don't know if it really is Barby's and yes, it's very melancholic but still so beautifully written.

I already knew it before though. Nevertheless, thanks for bringing it back to my mind. I'll save it to my PC this time. Wink
Does anybody know the origins of this poem?

~ You might say you’re ugly ~ You might say you’re chained ~ It’s inside your heart, lady ~ Where the battle is won ~

I also heared, that Paddy wrote this. So I don't know. But it could fit to the two of them anyway.
